Ingredients

Argan oil

Pressed from the kernels of the argan tree, argan oil has been used in Morocco for centuries as a food, a skin treatment, and a hair conditioner. Cosmetic-grade oil is cold-pressed and deodorised for face, body, and hair formulations; culinary grade is pressed from gently roasted kernels. We supply both, lot-traceable, with certification verified at the issuing registry.

Sourcing approach

Sourcing approach

Argan oil is sourced from our vetted producer network across Morocco’s primary ingredient regions. We visit suppliers in person, verify every certification against the issuing registry rather than the copy on the wall, and attach a lot traceability record to each shipment that links the source to the drums you receive.

Specific producer identities are disclosed under engagement, never published. Independent laboratory verification — a GC-FID fatty-acid profile — is available as a standard add-on on larger engagements, appended to the documentation pack as third-party assurance.

Frequently asked

Common questions

What is the difference between cosmetic and culinary argan oil?

Cosmetic-grade argan oil is cold-pressed from raw kernels and usually deodorised, so it carries little scent in a formulation. Culinary grade is pressed from gently roasted kernels, which gives it a nutty aroma and flavour for finishing oils. We supply both, and the grade is confirmed on your COA.

Which certifications are available for Moroccan argan oil?

ECOCERT, USDA Organic, the Argan IGP protected-origin mark, and Halal. We verify each certificate against the issuing registry for expiry and scope before it ships, and certification copies travel with the documentation pack.

How do you verify the oil is genuinely cold-pressed and unadulterated?

Cold pressing is confirmed by the production method at source and, on request, by an independent GC-FID fatty-acid profile from our Casablanca lab partner. The profile also flags dilution with cheaper oils, which is the most common form of argan adulteration.

What is the typical minimum order quantity?

Cosmetic-grade argan oil starts from a single 25 L can, with 200 L drums and IBCs for volume buyers. The workable minimum for your grade, certification, and packaging is confirmed on the discovery call.

How is argan oil packaged and shipped?

In 25 L cans, 200 L drums, IBCs, or aluminium bottles for cosmetic use, each container labelled with batch number and harvest date and tamper-sealed. Freight is booked by sea, air, or express under the Incoterm you choose.

Do you provide a Certificate of Analysis?

Yes — a Certificate of Analysis per batch, signed by our QC officer with an ONSSA licence number, covering grade, acid and peroxide values, and the parameters relevant to your formulation.
